About Me

Hey guys! I’m Christine. I’m a mom to four kiddos, wife to my high school sweet heart, and lover of Jesus and coffee.

I am the author of the Rabbit Trails curriculum that has become something I never dreamed it would! This little idea I had just to help my son with his language arts has blossomed into something hundreds of others are using in their homes to encourage their kids to love to learn and to think outside of the box.

I am a featured vendor inside of Top Picks Homeschool Curriculum Fair. This curriculum fair started in 2020 when we found the world shut down…including conferences. I’ve been thrilled to be a vendor from the very beginning! I am found there regularly doing live videos, giveaways, giving away freebies, and giving out as much encouragement as I can.

I have been blessed to be a speaker in several online homeschool conferences, including Conferences for Moms, Charlotte Mason Online Homeschool Conference, Makeover Your Life Summit, and Life Skills Leadership Summit. I absolutely love using conferences as a way to connect with other homeschool moms and look forward to speaking at many more in the future!

Ready to create homeschooling adventures to meet the needs of your unique family? The possibilities are endless and may look much different than you expect. #homeschooling #homeschoolingadventures #thisbitoflife

I am passionate about building community with other homeschool moms. That’s why this entire blog exists! I know that, with community, we can take on this job of homeschooling our kids. It’s also why I created my online homeschool support group. I’m also passionate about creating homeschooling adventures and I encourage you, my friend, to do the same.

homeschooling adventures

Homeschooling adventures can happen anywhere. They can happen when you get lost inside a book or curled up on the couch. They can happen in an amazing lesson in your school room. They can happen during a great roadschooling trip where you dive into living history. Your homeschooling adventure is going to be unique to your own family. The curriculum you choose, the style of teaching you use, and the dynamic of how your day flows are something that you cannot copy from anyone else. Here are a few tips I have for navigating this bit of life and all of the homeschooling adventures you are going to explore…

Tip #1: Never run out of coffee. Friends, this road can be a bumpy one, but it will absolutely be a road that is worth traveling. You will have bad days. You will have amazing days. You will have days that will turn your hair gray. But, this journey is the amazing kind of sacrifice that you will look back on one day and say, “Wow, what a wild, amazing, beautiful ride!”

Tip #2: Don’t be afraid of change. Being able to tailor our homeschool to fit our family’s lifestyle is one of my favorite parts of homeschooling! I’m able to add curriculum where I see fit, make things up as we go, and change something when it’s not working. We have changed our homeschooling method along the way plenty of times, and we will continue to grow and change as my kids grow and change, and as I grow and change as a mother. Embrace the amazing changes that come along the way.

Tip #3: Give yourself grace. This is so important as a homeschool mom. Lamentations 3:22-23 says, “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” This should be written on a scroll across my wall to read every day. The calling to homeschool your kids is just that, a calling. I’m so thankful that when I have a bad day, that His mercies are new every morning! Take it one day at a time, and give yourself plenty of grace.
