It’s time to get ready for summer reading! It’s such a great idea to keep your kids reading over the summer. Not only does it help them not lose progress with the reading skills they’ve learned over the school year, but it’s also a wonderful way to spend summer- with your nose stuck in a book! Now, your children will have the opportunity to take part in this free summer reading program. It includes trackers, rewards, and so much more!
A summer your kids won’t forget!
This free summer reading program is going to give your kids the opportunity to fall in love with reading, nature, and truly have an amazing summer! It all starts on June 3 and runs for 8 weeks. All of June and July your kids will read beautiful books and get hands on. You’ll have a wonderful time together as a family!
What’s included in this free summer reading program?
Your kids will be so excited to be a part of this summer reading program! When you first sign up, you will receive:
-Sunny summer reading tracker
-Forms to easily keep track of all of your books read
-A rewards coupon sheet
-Book lists for June and July
-Activity ideas to accompany the book themes
But, that’s not all. Once you sign up, you receive everything you need for the months of June and July to get started.
-A themed book list with book ideas for the entire month
-Fun snack ideas
-Poetry recommendations
-Fun ideas to get your kids hands on and creating all summer long
-Completion certificate at the end of the program
What are the weekly themes for the Summer Reading Program?
There are four themes each for both June and July. The themes your children will work through are:

-Father’s Day
-Fireflies
-Fourth of July
-Sharks
-Coral Reefs
-Picnics
Summer Reading Program for Homeschoolers
Most summer reading programs out there are geared towards those in the public schools. Here at Rabbit Trails, we love homeschoolers! Can you use this even if your child is in public or private school? You bet! But, our heart is for the homeschoolers. I’ve been homeschooling my own children for over 10 years and can’t wait for you to dig in to this summer reading program!
